More than halfway through the zeroes now and no end in sight for the nothing. No one to blame but ourselves/you/them.

Caught between the zero and the one, on/off switch in perpetual flicker—this can be a good thing if you know how to tap a tightrope dance along a live wire without burning your soles. If you don’t, you’d better learn faster than the speeding bullet headed for your shadow of a prayer.

All of these we will hallucinate tonight.

In the morning you will remember a moment when we let our guards down, betrayed ourselves to truth, opened up a parenthetical chasm between us just big enough for us all to squeeze into/through.

This is our final gift to you.

It’s not much, it’s as usual far too earnest/naïve/sincere, we know, but it’s what we’ve got to work with, it’s all we’ve got to work with.

Good night, sweet dreams—
